MLA Format Source Cards

Students,

Please see the "note card help" link for how to take notes on your MLA notecards.  But first, you will need to create bibliography cards, also called "source cards."

*For each source, write the bibliographic information in MLA Format on a card, and number each source card.

*THEN, when doing research and taking notes on your source on separate cards, you can just write the coinciding source number in the upper righthand corner of the notecard (see other link for a visual).

*An example of the source card would look like this:

*The bullet points below might be helpful.  The last bullet point is optional but could be beneficial.
*And then when you are taking notes, this is what it will look like. (Obviously you do not need to type your cards!)  You also do not need to write out the source in the upper righthand corner; you can just write the source number! :)
