Important Field Trip Info...

Hello, all!

In the case of a delay tomorrow, we will still be meeting in the school cafeteria as planned.  The movie tickets are non-refundable, so we don't want to lose out!  Please arrive in between 8:30-8:45.  We plan on leaving the school at 8:50, and we must be at the theater at 9:15.

If dropping your student off at 8:30 is an inconvenience, you may drop them off as early as 7:30AM.  The school will be open, and I will be here to supervise.

THANK YOU to all who offered to drive.  As of this morning, we have enough drivers!  We even ended up with more than enough! Yay!  Drivers, please get your group back to the school in between 1:45-2PM. 

If you have still not paid for your ticket, please pay the school office tomorrow morning when you arrive.

Dear Parents and Students,

Our field trip to see The Hobbit is this Thursday!

Thank you to all who returned the permission slip with payment!  If you haven't done so, please bring it in tomorrow!

ALSO--
We need more drivers!!!  If you can drive, just send in money to the school for your ticket as well. 

One more thing: The movie theater originally said the cost was $9.75, but they invoiced us for $9.50 per ticket.  So I will be passing out quarters to all the students who paid!  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hobbit Field Trip

 

Field trip permission slips are going home today!  Here is a copy of the form.

FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIP

            As the 7^th grade recently finished reading The Hobbit, and the 8^th grade read it last year, we have the privilege of taking the entire middle school to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Part 2)! Cinemark Theater in Monroeville Mall is opening their doors early JUST FOR US!

            The students have been anticipating this (some since last year), and I hope that we all can make it to the show.  The movie is rated PG-13 due to “epic battle sequences / fantasy violence.”  This field trip is not mandatory; it is optional as to respect all families’ movie viewing standards.

            After the movie, we will eat together in the food court of the mall.   

            Turn in permission slips and money by this Friday, January 17th^th.  Make checks out to the school.   Please consider driving/chaperoning! J

DATE: Thursday, January 23^rd

TIME: We will leave school at 8:30AM and return by 1:30

COST: $9.75

NOTE:  The cost includes one admission ticket and one CinneMovie Snack Pack (drink, popcorn, snack-size candy per person).  Additional concessions can be purchased as well.  The theater requires us to purchase the whole package (ticket and snack combo price).

**Please make checks payable to the school.  If you are coming on the trip as a chaperone or driver, please purchase YOUR ticket through the school as well.  You do not need my “ok” to attend.  All are welcome, so just send the full amount with this slip if you would like to join us.
